Abstract [It]: Il presente contributo intende far luce sulla complessa relazione tra intelligenza artificiale predittiva e attività di vigilanza in materia di lavoro e legislazione sociale. Muovendo da una breve digressione sui profili generali del rapporto tra IA e attività amministrativa e passando in rassegna le più recenti applicazioni dell’IA predittiva alle attività di polizia e agli accertamenti tributari, verrà posta in esame l’adozione di tali strumenti alle ispezioni sul lavoro e, al contempo, si cercherà di offrire un inquadramento giuridico del fenomeno esaminato.

 

Title: Predictive AI and supervisory activities in the field of labour and social legislation. Critical reflections on the inspection practices of tomorrow

Abstract [En]: This contribution aims to shed light on the complex relationship between predictive artificial intelligence and surveillance activities in the field of labour and social legislation. Starting with a brief digression on the general aspects of the relationship between AI and administrative activities and reviewing the most recent applications of predictive AI to police activities and tax assessments, we will examine the adoption of these tools in labour inspections and, at the same time, attempt to provide a legal framework for the phenomenon under examination.
