Abstract [En]: The author, making the most of a point made by Vittorio Frosini (1965) that had been neglected for so many years, analyzes Hans Kelsen's study Die staatslehre des Dante Alighieri not from the point of view of historical correctness, let alone philological correctness with respect to De Monarchia, but starting from Reine Rechtslehre and Peace through Law, and this with the aim of discovering and highlighting 'a posteriori' the watermarked presence, already in that distant work by the young Kelsen, of some of the cornerstones of the Doctrine of Law and the State that would later constitute the fulcrum of the thought and work of the Master of the Vienna School. And here the surprises are not few.
